Guilds And Balthazar Faction
ANet introduced being able to donate kurzick/luxon faction to your guild, which will contribute to your alliance. If you have enough faction, you can own a town. What does this do? Well, it makes the owner of the alliances guild name will show on the name. You also have access to fireworks, and a merchant with discounts. Now, if you own House/Cavalon, you have all that and access to elite missions. But, balthazar faction did not get any guild related updates. Balthazar faction will onlu unlock you stuff in PvP still.
Onto my idea, I think that members of a guild should be able to contribute balthazar faction to their guild. After a period of time, 16 guilds with the most faction have a tournament. The matches could be some new kind of 8v8 match, or just a standard GvG. ROUND ONE Guild 1 vs Guild 9 Guild 2 vs Guild 10 Guild 3 vs Guild 11 Guild 4 vs Guild 12 Guild 5 vs Guild 13 Guild 6 vs Guild 14 Guild 7 vs Guild 15 Guild 8 vs Guild 16 ROUND TWO Guild 1 vs Guild 10 Guild 2 vs Guild 11 Guild 3 vs Guild 12 Guild 4 vs Guild 13 SEMI FINALS Guild 1 vs Guild 12 Guild 2 vs Guild 13 FINALS Guild 1 vs Guild 13 The winning guild of the tournement can get prizes such as balthazar on their cape, a /balthazar emote, items and such. Thats my idea for using balthazar faction for your guild. Enjoy
